Leaving hospital is usually a positive time and the beginning of the recovery process. To ensure everything is in order back at home to make the transition even smoother, our staff will take care of the details so you can focus on getting better. We can arrange your medications, ensure you are able to move freely through your house in cases of reduced mobility by liaising with the multi discipline team and can provide regular checks to ensure everything is running smoothly.
One of the most important aspects of requiring care at home can simply be someone to talk to. Our staff are well trained to be great listeners, to share stories and also to keep you up to date on current events in the neighbourhood or what’s going on in the world; whatever is of most importance to you.
There is nothing more important to us than making sure our clients’ wellbeing is looked after. We will offer simple services that make the difference – such as assistance with bathing or showering, dressing, and any toiletry needs.
These tasks will be conducted by our professionals with the utmost dignity using the recommended aids.
We can provide assistance with everyday household duties, so you are able to focus on the important things. This can include light housework, laundry, dusting, cleaning, and so on.
Our staff will assist you in preparing a shopping list, accompany you to the shops or will purchase the goods and unpack them in your home.
Ensuring you receive the right nourishment on a regular basis is important to your health and wellbeing.
We can administer and prepare food via mouth and Peg. We are there to make sure meals are prepared when you choose, and that they provide a balanced mix of wholesome ingredients suited to your individual requirements. These can be Microwave meals or a meal of your choice. We will ensure that the food is in date and stored as per its requirement.
Where your health depends on essential medications, we will be there to ensure that it is administered correctly and at the right times. We are also able to collect and deliver prescriptions and repeat medications to you at home.
Where you are looking for that extra security of knowing someone is on-hand to help during the night hours, our specialists will arrange to be there for you. We offer sleep-in or waking services to ensure that you have the utmost peace of mind during the night.
Looking after a loved one or dependent family member can be challenging and draining. We understand that it’s sometimes best to have a break and we can provide the expert care needed to bridge that gap and provide the support for you that is expected.
At Compassionate Herts we know that given a choice many individuals would prefer to remain in their own home right to the end, however for both them and their families the fear, emotional hurdles and practicalities of caring for someone at this stage of life can be challenging. Reflecting this, we provide an experienced Supportive, or Palliative, Care Service to support clients and their loved ones at home.
